Opportunities for Young Women
Opportunities for Young Women

The Chrysalis Program is a leadership, empowerment, and education initiative designed to help young women of color in Stockton, CA achieve their academic and leadership potential. Through this program, students gain skills, build confidence, and take charge of their futures — all while connecting with a supportive community of peers and mentors who understand their journey.
Chrysalis is about more than academics and résumés. It is about identity, belonging, and power. We know that BIPOC women often do not have responsive support to ensure they have access to and thrive in higher education. The Chrysalis Program exists to change that — serving as a steady pillar that young women can lean on from high school through college and beyond.
At the heart of everything we do is Sisterhood. We are creating a community of young women from Stockton who will support each other, lift up those coming behind them, and lead the next generation into the future. When one of us rises, we all rise.
Student involvement
Your Leadership.
Your Level.
Chrysalis meets students where they are, from just joining a Sister Circle to serving on the Youth Advisory Council. There’s a meaningful role for every young woman, at every stage.

Core programming
Exciting Opportunities to Grow
Every Chrysalis experience is designed to spark confidence, open doors, and deepen the bonds of sisterhood — from monthly circles to campus visits.
Monthly sister circles
Each month, young women come together to explore real-life tools — from self-identity, mental health and healthy relationships to financial literacy, confidence, health, and planning for college and careers.
College tours
Walk the quads, meet students, and picture yourself there. Campus visits make the idea of college real — and reachable — for young women who’ve never seen it up close.
Youth advisory council
A select council of student leaders shaping the future of Chrysalis — with free trainings, real decision-making power, and the chance to present findings at the city-wide level.
Annual Summits
A signature event uniting young women, mentors, and community partners. Attend workshops, hear inspiring speakers, and leave with a vision for your future.
